This is my British Bluefaced Leicester High Twist base. It is a high twist fingering weight yarn with 2 plies that have been densely twisted.
This base is perfect for any garment that will get a lot of wear. BFL as such is a more sturdy fibre than for example Merino. And the high twist texture adds to the durability of the yarn. The high twist texture also provides a great stitch definition. Compared to Merino, it is definitely less soft - but it is no way scratchy and I like to wear it next to skin.
