Animation is made with mercerized cotton, which means the cotton has been treated to have a smoother surface, allowing it to take in more dye and have a slight sheen while retaining strength. Although it’s a DK-weight yarn and can be used at an average DK gauge for other projects, Animation really comes alive when you drop down 3-4 hook or needle sizes to create playful amigurumi.
