The instructions on the label call for a 4mm (US 6) knitting needle and state the gauge is 18 sts and 27 rows per 4 inches in stockinette.
I knitted a sample with the recommended size needle and got 24 sts and 30 rows per 4 inches. I also measured the WPI and came to 12, which makes this a sport weight yarn. This is consistent with the MPG as well.
