This luscious, yarn is soft, squishy, and fluffy, but what’s really special about it is the unique way that it is constructed. 435 yards of fingering weight yarn per skein, this base is 50% baby alpaca and 50% merino - one strand of each fiber. Since every fiber accepts dyes differently, this yarn has a unique, slightly marled look which, combined with the divine way it feels, makes it a truly special addition to anyone’s stash!

A note about this base: Because of the very unique construction of this yarn and the fact that merino and alpaca naturally have different elasticities this yarn can sometimes present with a slightly bouclé’d effect when it is in skeins or cakes and while you are initially working with it. However, once you are finished and completely block this item, it will look completely even and has incredible drape. This is completely natural and a part of how this yarn functions; trust in me because it is well-worth your efforts.
