Önling No 13 – Wool-cashmere companion yarn, cob-web weight

Key features:

• Composition: 95% first-cut lambswool and 5% cashmere
• Fingering weight: Cob-web
• Yardage: approx. 1759 yards (1600 meters) per 80 g / cone
• Recommended needle size: Not suitable for being used alone; it is meant to be used as a companion strand to add a touch of color, texture and structure.
• Gauge: 28 sts = 4 inches (10 cm) on needle size US 2.5 (3 mm) / 23 sts = 4 inches (10 cm) on needle size US 4 (3,5 mm). Adding a strand of Önling No 13 will not change the gauge of the main yarn.
• The DNA of the yarn: Cashmere from Asia. The yarn is produced in Turkey.

Önling No 13 is our luxurious companion yarn that you can use to make our other yarns even more enjoyable to work with and wear. You can’t use the yarn on its own, but it adds color play, texture and hold to your knitwear without weighing it down. We especially recommend it together with Önling No 10, Önling No 12 and Önling No 21.

Unwashed yarn on cones:
The yarn Önling No 13 has not been prewashed when you receive the cones. You get the best result by soaking the finished project in lukewarm water for about 2 hours, as the yarn will open up and turn even softer. Then wash the project as you would otherwise do using a wool wash, either by hand or using the wool cycle of your washing machine. Dry flat.

Our Everyday Yarn, Önling No 12, and Önling No 13 are fantastic together, as Önling No 13 gives Önling No 12 an extra lift, a nicer hold and a better structure. We call this combination of yarns our Everyday Kit. You can knit an entire sweater in any size using two cones of Önling No 12 and one cone of Önling No 13.
