Made with 100% natural fibres, our yarn Pinta was originally intended to be a sock yarn, butt soon it proved to be much more than that: it is truly an allrounder wonderful yarn that can be used to knit many different kinds of garments and accessories.

What distinguishes Pinta from other yarns is its very unique composition: 60% merino, 20% silk and 20% ramie. We source our merino wool from Patagonia. It is mulesing free and is RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified. The mulberry silk gives it a glossy shine and smoothness. It gets its robustness from its other very special ingredient: ramie, an eco-friendly fibre, highly sustainable and a very good alternative to synthetic fibres, is a plant fibre of the nettle family noted for its length and toughness.

Pinta comes in twenty-five fabulous colours designed in 6 blocks of 4 colours each plus white. These four blocks are formed by pairs that work together complementing each other with one colour being a rich, strong colour and the other being a muted colour, i.e. not as saturated as its counterpart.

Pinta is perfect for all-year-round clothing due to its thermoregulating properties. No matter how hot it is outside, you’ll feel fresh all day long. The elastic properties of Pinta make it  extremely wrinkle resistant. Due to its wonderful blend, Pinta is more flexible, bends delicately against your skin and  doesn’t itch one bit. This hypoallergenic yarn treats your skin softly and with great care. As usual, we put Pinta on our needles.

Pinta also supports the concept of sustainability and is naturally 100% ecological! It is highly durable and completely biodegradable which helps to prevent unnecessary waste. The fact that it does not have to be washed so frequently thanks to its natural self-cleaning properties also has a positive impact on the environment.

Pinta besteht zu 100% aus natürlichen Fasern. Ursprünglich konzipiert als Sockengarn, zeigte Pinta jedoch schnell, dass sie noch viel mehr kann: Pinta ist ein echtes Allroundtalent, aus der sich die verschiedensten Kleidungsstücke und Accessoires stricken lassen. Pinta unterscheidet sich von anderen Garnen durch seine einzigartige Faserzusammenstellung: 60% Merino, 20% Seide and 20% Ramie. Unsere Merinowolle stammt aus Patagonien.
Sie ist selbstverständlich mulesing-frei und zertifiziert nach RWS (Responsible Wool Standard). Der Anteil an Maulbeerseide verleiht Pinta den seidigen Glanz und Glätte. Ihre Haltbarkeit erhält Pinta von einer anderen, sehr besonderen Faser: Ramie. Diese umweltfreundliche Faser aus der Familie der Nesselfasern ist sehr bekannt für ihre Faserlänge und Robustheit und daher eine sehr gute Alternative zu Kunstfasern.

Aufgrund ihrer thermoregulierenden Eigenschaften ist Pinta das perfekte Ganzjahresgarn. Egal, wie warm es ist – mit Pinta fühlt man sich den ganzen Tag frisch. Dazu sind Kleidungsstücke aus Pinta aufgrund der sehr elastischen Fasern nahezu knitterfrei. Durch seine spezielle Faserkombination ist Pinta sehr flexibel, schmiegt sich weich an Deinen Körper und kratzt überhaupt nicht! Das hypoallergene Garn ist sanft und weich zu Deiner Haut.
