my skein of this yarn indicates 140m/153 yds in 50 g - I get 17-19 wpi - 4-5mm needles suggested. I would call this a sport wt. Often we knit cotton more loosely than wool so the suggested 5 st per inch gauge makes sense in that respect. It’s very similar to Paton’s Grace.
