Purl &Jane Yorkshire Yarn: from sheep to shop

Care, skill and creativity run through every fibre of this yarn. It was lovingly created by a Yorkshire farmer, spinner and Purl &Jane for yarn lovers everywhere.

100% Yorkshire Swaledale Wool

This hank is spun from the fleece of a strong, resilient Yorkshire breed of sheep called a Swaledale which grazes on the Duke of Devonshire’s Bolton Abbey Estate in all weathers. The Swaledale is the much-loved and familiar face of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Its fleece produces a yarn with features that match the sheep it comes from, robust, distinctive – a true knitters’ yarn.
