Churra Badana sheep are native to the Bragança region (northeastern Portugal). They are officially classified as a RARE breed and in serious risk of becoming extinct.
This yarn combines 50% of Badana with a mixture of Campaniça and Serra da Estrela wools to create a light but sturdy and insulating yarn. This is a minimally processed yarn, entirely sourced and manufactured in Portugal.
Please note: as in all our woolen-spun yarns, there will be traces of vegetable matter in the yarn. We recommend removing them as you knit.
