Symre Norwegian Mohair
Symre knitting yarn is a thin 2-ply knitting yarn.
Symre is especially shiny, and also soft. Symre is spun of fiber from young Norwegian mohair goats, and Norwegian lambs wool.
Symre is 100% Norwegian and 100% locally produced by Telespinn in Svartdal.
Symre is ideal to all knitting projects, as shawls, scarves, hats, light weight pulls and jackets.
Like all our yarns the wool is washed with organic soap, and we only use organic spinning oil in the spinning process. The result is one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly yarns, without compromizing quality. When you are knitting with this yarn you immediately feel that this is a high-quality yarn that knits like a dream.
Symre is named after the Symre flowers, which are to be found in Svartdal.
Symre is around 300 meter per 100 gram. Knitting needles 2-3,5. Wool wash 30 degrees Celsius, dry flat.
Symre is 80% Norwegian mohair and 20% Norwegian lambs wool.
We have around 40 different colors of Symre, all hand dyed. We dye the fiber before we spin the yarn, which gives especially lively colors.
