Ullcentrum’s Sport Weight is a 2-ply yarn with 300 meters per 100 grams (6/2) spun from pure Swedish wool from Öland. The standard weight of a hank is 100 grams unless otherwise specified.

This is an extremely versatile yarn, which can be used for a variety of projects.

Recommended gauges:

Mittens, gloves and cowls: 2 - 2.5 mm/ US 0 - 1.5
Hats, caps and beanies: 3 mm/US 2.5
Jumpers and cardigans: 3 - 4 mm/US 2.5 - 6
Shawls and scarves: 4 - 7 mm/US 6 - 10.5

This yarn is also suitable for use with hand knitting machines and available on cones with a thickness of 8/2.

Swedish wool yarn is strong, soft, easy to knit with and excellent for use as warp when weaving. It is also well suited for felting, should you so wish.
