Earth is a worsted-spun, fingering-weight yarn, made from fibres local to the folk at John Arbon Mill, who cleverly blend light Exmoor Blueface with dark Zwartbles to create a number of shades that overdye beautifully.

Earth is full of character, lustre, durability and, unusually, both bounce and drape; for this reason, it suits many applications and works well for garments, blankets and accessories, such as shawls and hats. For some, it may be next-to-skin soft.

Dyed with plants collected around Glasgow and Scotland and sustainably-sourced raw plant material and dye extracts, these shades are light-fast but, like all natural dyes, may change and develop over time, a quality valued by many cultures.
