I have a podcast called Christa Knits, all about knitting design and featuring emerging designers from anywhere, and other folks in the Vancouver area who serve the knitting community.

My design work is transitioning, from patterns that are often geared towards newer knitters (making neat patterns that just use knit and purl stitches, or that have only one new or challenging technique) towards patterns for more experienced knitters that use a variety of techniques to shape and style the final product. I love knitting in the round, but I’m not a needle snob, any circular will do! Natural fibres are lovely, and working in two local yarn shops leaves me far too exposed to all the wonderfulness that is out there in yarn land!
