I’m Suzy Cowper, the textile artist behind TeaCosyFolk. I create sculptural, character‑driven tea cosy knitting patterns, with over 450 designs inspired by people, stories and everyday life.

I learnt to knit as a child during visits to my grandmother in Rotherham, where she taught us crafts instead of switching on a television. That early love of making grew into a lifelong passion for knitting, sewing, quilting and crochet.

My skills developed further when I had children, adapting and redesigning patterns to create unique garments and blankets. In my thirties I designed my first tea cosies — the Robin and the Bluetit — after failing to find anything online that matched the personality and charm I wanted for my teapot.

Friends loved them, and that sparked the idea for TeaCosyFolk: tea cosy designs with character, humour and storytelling. Each cosy is created to be expressive, sculptural and full of life — a talking point at the table and a joy to knit.
