A wisp of a hoodie, knit from the top down in multiple lace patterns, is perfect for light-weight warmth: Valley Yarns’ kid mohair and mulberry silk Southampton has a sublime halo that demands attention. Both the sleeves and lower edge are finished in an embossed rib, with sleeves worked in the round. The hood is separately knit in a striped lace pattern and sewn around the neck; deep-slanting side pockets are worked in a mock cable/lace pattern then sewn to the front. The final step is the zipper, giving the ethereal look a clean finish.
