#13 Sanquhar Gloves
The main pattern of Kunnecke’s gloves, knit in the round on dpns, is called the Duke, named for the Duke of Buccleuch. Between the checkered pattern and bicolor ribbing of the cuff is a customizable band on which initials can be added (see our example on page 4). The innovative technique of locked floats creates a smooth interior that won’t snag. Dale Garn’s Daletta delivers the stitch detail merited by this iconic pattern.
