Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Winter 2008/09: “Deconstructionist Scott makes magic here: His wrap, knit on size 35 needles with four strands of ‘British Sheep Breeds-Undyed’ from Rowan Purelife/Westminster Fibers held together, is worked from side to side in bands of stockinette and reverse stockinette. A wide cable joins the sleeve openings across the back; one entire side flips over to become the shawl collar.”
“Loose-fitting blanket construction wrap by Tom Scott with center back cable detail and rolled armhole openings.”
Knitted Measurements:
- Bust (wrapped) 36 (40 44)“/91.5 (101.5, 111.5)cm
- Length (at front) 29 (32¼, 33½)“.73.5 (80, 84)cm
- Upper arm 15 (17, 19)“/38 (43, 48)cm
Materials:
- 16 (20, 24) 3½oz/100g skeins (each approx 120yd/110m) of Rowan Purelife/Westminster Fibers, Inc. British Sheep Breeds - Undyed (wool) in #952 mid brown jacob
- One size 35 (19mm) circular needle 24”/60cm long or size to obtain gauge
- One size 19 (15mm) circular needles, 16”/40cm long
- Cable needle, stitch markers
Gauge Note: Work with 4 strands of yarn held tog throughout.
