Van Dillen’s shawl begins from a point, increasing two stitches on one side while decreasing one on the other, giving it a scalene triangle shape. Biscotte Yarns’ Bis-Sock shows off the three pattern stitches: sand granite, lace cubes and diamond lace. To minimize the number of ends that need to be woven in, run the thread along the side, but take care to do it neatly. All color changes are completed at the beginning of right-side rows.
