Pattern description from Knit.1, Summer 2007: “He’s hot already; just watch him sizzle in linen. Tony Limuaco’s button-down, in three spicy shades of ‘Euroflax Worsted Weight’ from Louet Sales, takes inspiration from the traditional Cuban guayabera shirt. Front and back panels of diamond-cable lace are knit individually, then crocheted together with strips of various stitch patterns. Set-in sleeves, a fold-down collar and knitted-on hems complete the casual look.”

Man’s Medium/Large. Chest 44”/112cm; Length 2”/63.5cm; Upper arm 21.5”/54.5cm

Notions: six 3/4” / 19mm and six 5/8” / 16mm buttons

Note from Knit.1, Summer 2007: “Shirt is made in pieces and them put tog using a crochet hook with hdc through the selvage of one piece then hdc through the selvage of the adjacent piece. A portion of the shoulder of the back yoke wraps around to the front.”

It is worked in pieces, and uses some basic crochet to put them together.
