Free until May 31, 2026. I wrote A Single Skein of Hope a year ago. And it remains such a challenging time. We are still experiencing intolerance at an extreme level. Our political angst seems to be dividing us. So many of us feel lost and ungrounded. Where is our community? Although it’s still crazy and scary times, there are moments of brightness and clarity in the world. Appreciating those who we love. Noticing the beauty in the world. I still pray that we continue to come together and help one another. I still believe that there is more goodness in the world than evil. Do what we can, let our voices be heard. And when we cannot “do” anymore, we can knit. To reinforce our faith in humanity. To heal ourselves, one stitch at a time. A Big-Hearted Hope is designed for soothing and contemplative knitting. Worked in garter stitch with a rib accent on each end and a slip stitch edging. You choose the length – either a cowl that folds over on the ribbed ends or a scarf. Requires one (cowl) or two (scarf) skeins (70/140 yards) of super bulky weight yarn.
What do you do when the world is still on fire? Well, here is my big-hearted wish for you: play with the gorgeous yarn. Stare at the mesmerizing colors and textures. And knit on, my friends, knit on.
