Adorno was inspired by a Brazilian textile called “Bordado Filé”, that is a type of embroidery worked over a thread
net. Adorno is a sweater with a textured circular yoke created by using different yarn weights, fibers and a cool
crochet loop stitch that enhance the colorwork motif! It is super fun to knit, and its innovative colorwork stitch
motif creates a unique textured effect! The style is what I like to call, a “petite boxy” shape, where the body has a
certain amount of positive ease (not as much as a traditional boxy top) with fitted sleeves. I must say that “Petite
Boxy” is one of my very favorite styles, because it dresses beautifully in any body type! Adorno is one of the
patterns from the Sparkly Eyes and Warm Heart Collection, a collaboration with HandDyed Yarns by Charlotte
Spagner! I hope you have a great knitting time and enjoy wearing your Adorno sweater!

Notes
This sweater is seamless, worked in the round from the top down.
The yoke is worked circular in textured stitch motif. Change to longer length circulars while working the yoke, when needed.
The diagonal textured stitch motif uses a crochet hook to pull loops, between the working round and a few
rounds below. On the Yoke chart, the green marker indicates where to insert the hook, just beside the stitch
created by the previous elongated crochet stitch, except for the first time when the hook should be inserted
just beside the increased (M1R) stitch at round 1 (where the green marker is).
Stitch marker is positioned at the middle / center of the back.
The back neck is shaped with short rows for a better fit. The Wrap & Turn method is suggested in the directions;
however, you can use your favorite method to work the short rows!
The sleeves are worked circular from the top down.
To avoid underarm holes, the directions indicate pick up and k 1 st on the row below the diagonal line formed
between the body casted on stitches and the sleeve stitches that were on hold. There is a photo tutorial at the
end of the pattern!
