Afterglow
Afterglow makes an impact without demanding the effort.
This worsted-weight triangle shawl is worked diagonally with a lace chevron on stockinette stitch. The rhythm is smooth, the pattern is easy to follow, and before you know it, you’ll be saying, just one more row.
Afterglow looks intricate but knits with ease, proof that polished doesn’t have to be complicated. The result is modern, wearable, and impossible to put down.
YARN
Two skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage (100% Merino wool; 182 m / 200 yds per skein). Shown in colour Tart.
Or approximately 364 m / 400 yds of similar worsted-weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 5 mm / US 8 needles or size to achieve pattern gauge
Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
FINISHED SIZE After blocking
Width: 178 cm / 70 in
Depth: 86 cm / 34 in
The pattern includes instructions for making the lace section bigger or smaller, so you can easily adjust the size of your shawl.
