This pattern is no longer available. We’d like to thank Ann Budd for wonderful designs she created for our (now discontinued) exclusive yarns. Ann is a wonderful designer and you can see her Ravelry collection by clicking on her name above.

Featuring hardy wool yarn, a zippered yoke, and stand-up collar, this pullover is designed for cold, rugged wear. Worked primarily in the round, the need for seaming is almost completely eliminated. Ann’s clever construction and instructions provide you with the direction to make a beautifully tailored sweater that fits perfectly. You’ll love the finishing touches that make this pullover an “Epic” design. And, just the like the name, this sweater was designed for men but works just as well for women!

You will need three sizes of knitting needles for this project, one smaller size for trim and two sizes for the main part of the sweater. Due to the tighter gauge of the “Slip-Stitch Woven Pattern”, the yoke and sleeve caps are worked on needles one size larger than used for the body and lower sleeves.

Materials required: River City Yarns Epic Yarn (100% virgin wool; 200 m/100 g): 6 (7, 7, 8, 8, 9) balls. Pattern sample made up in “Steel”.
