Albie the Alpaca has a colourful saddle blanket with a slipped stitch pattern. Albie is knitted in acrylic yarns, and for the body two of the yarn colours (grey and white) are held double to create the variegated look for the fleece. Albie is worked in 4 ply yarns, although you can use DK (double knitting/light worsted) if you prefer.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the alpaca is knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round). A crochet hook is used to work single crochet chains for the reins and to attach tassels.
