Allium Shawl
Allium is an asymmetric triangle shawl, worked from tip to edge. The main body of the shawl is an easily memorised lace pattern of eyelets, slipped stitches and reversed stocking stitch. This transitions into a modified peacock stitch pattern to create a border of Allium style flowers on a revere stocking stitch background. Finally, a picot bind off is worked to complete this pretty design. The border of flowering Allium heads, combined the light weight construction, makes this shawl the perfect accessory for spring/summer. Designed in laceweight yarn it could be worked in fingering weight but would probably require more yarn and would produce a larger finished object.
