The feminine textured shell is radically reimagined with color-blocked inserts for a slimming and strikingly modern couture look. Designer Michele Wang writes, “While taking a patternmaking class, I became interested in the idea of princess seams in knits. Princess seams can end up at the shoulder or curve into the armhole. Because knits can sometimes be bulky at the seams, I moved the princess seam over toward the sides a bit and made the curve into the armhole less exaggerated for a more subtle effect.” Professional details ensure this polished piece will hold a special place in your wardrobe.

CONSTRUCTION
The garment is worked in eight pieces: Front, Back, two Side Panels, and two each of Upper and Under Sleeve pieces. Princess shaping is worked at the join between the Front, Back, and Side Panels. The Upper and Under Sleeves are worked separately in colors to match the facing body panels. The pieces are sewn together. The princess seams match the sleeve seams at the armhole/sleeve cap join.
