ALNWICK from Marie Wallin’s ARAN book is a fitted, open style cardigan, which can also be fastened with a lovely pin or brooch. It is knitted flat in pieces, but also could be knitted in the round with the addition of steek stitches where the side seams would be, at the centre front and armholes.

ALNWICK is named after the historic market town on the Northumberland coast, famed for its many winding, cobbled streets and the iconic Alnwick castle. The castle is famous due to its appearance in harry Potter films and Downton Abbey.
