“Ambivalence” is a “Trapeze Net” Cowl in 3 Forms; 1 Long and 2 Short.

The name comes from the fact that at times the pattern leans left, and then leans right, and then flips inside out - very AMBI-valent….very political. Oh, and yes…. its FREE!

“Trapeze Net” is about doing knitted pieces in a fishnet type of pattern without a series of complex tap-dances to get there. It is about speed, flow, and creating a larger piece with holes to eliminate the added weight. “Trapeze Net” is a lot like a trapeze act: swinging back and forth, sending a rope over, and joining two together - thus the name.

Easy, large and looks like an ornate car tire.
You will use size US 10 to 10 1/2 , circular 24” or 36” needles. The best yarn is Worsted, Aran, or Bulky. If you want the piece to be wider - add in multiples of two (even numbers).

The short versions are either a modified long style - or a very simple left (or right) leaning, spiral piece.
