I do like Rose Fabric, it’s textured, very stretchy and super warm for Winter Accessories. It’s also very easy to knit and looks interesting in a plain shade or gives a tweed appearance if knitted in more than one colour. My son calls it Faux-chet as it does look like Granny Stripes in crochet if you use more than one shade of yarn. This hat and cowl set is very quick to knit and uses chunky / bulky yarn for instant gratification . Work your magic with stripes in different colours or try a solid shade or self striping yarn for fun.

It’s a joke in our house that Hubby isn’t a romantic soul, he’s caring and kind but finds all the floral, syrupy sentiment hard to understand. The lyrics from Mac and Mable for ‘I won’t send roses’ sum that up perfectly. Knit yourself a hidden gift of roses and smile knowing you’re wrapped in romantic flowers, even better, use yarn he/she bought for you.
