How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual again this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)

When I first saw this stitch I knew I wanted to incorporate it into a fun cowl and it took a few tries, but I finally hit upon the right combination of color, needle, and shaping. This cowl is knit in one “pattern cluster” throughout, but with an increase on one side and a decrease on the other to make the work lean or bias. With a 4 stitch pattern repeat, you can easily make this cowl wider and since it is knit flat and then seamed, making it longer is your choice too!

Don’t like a cowl? If you can handle a biased edge on the ends, you can leave it flat and have a scarf instead.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate to Advanced Knitter

Size: Small (5.5 inches wide by 24 inches long), Medium (6.5 inches wide by 24 inches long), Large (7.5 inches wide by 24 inches long)

Yarn:2 skeins Plymouth Yarn Yakima 85% Superfine Wool and 15% Yak, 384 yards, colors #203 Raspberry and #209 Avocado, approx. 100 yards and 40 yards used for smallest size

Needle: US 4 (3.0 mm) circulars or needles to obtain gauge

Gauge: 2 Clusters in Pattern per inch and 4 rows to one inch (Gauge is less important than “hand” for this one. I had about 2 clusters per inch in my unblocked piece and 1.5 clusters per inch in the blocked version.)
