Here are the “keys” to create this wonderful Ankh (the key of life). This pattern is geared for the “adventurous beginner,” as it is worked in size 10 thread and a 2mm hook (1 ball of thread will yield approx 3 to 4 Ankhs). But, you can, of course, feel free to work it in yarn and create a bigger applique for an afghan, or a shawl or other wearable. The stitches needed to create are chains, single crochets and slip stitches. As written, the pattern will produce an approx 4 inch tall Ankh. Perfect applique for altar cloths, tarot or rune bags, wearables, etc. Without being appliqued, this Ankh is a lovely bookmark, wall decoration or - add some crystals - and make a remarkable sun / moon catcher.
