This pattern is knit in a K2P2 rib.

It just takes one skein each of two contrasting colors. Start with color one, in the middle mix the two colors with alternating stripes and finish solidly with color two.

Pick a two neutrals for your most conservative guy or pair a bright with a neutral if your guy is more trendy.
