Ant and Pearl Hat
This little hat is based on the tale of the Queen Bee. Two princes set out on an adventure and become lost to their reckless ways. Their youngest brother sets out to find them and in the process, saves a nest of ants, a hive of bees, and a flock of ducks. When the brothers come upon an enchanted castle, the two eldest brothers are turned to stone during the challenge to break the curse. It is only through the help of the ants, ducks, and bees that assist the youngest brother that the curse may be broken.
This little bottom up hat with knit and purl patterning is meant to evoke the ants who collect the 1,000 pearls for the prince. Hopefully you’ll find the patterning to be as easy as the prince found being kind.
This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
