ARCHWAY is a soft and warm unisex 2 color winter beanie, elegant and sporty at the same time, in a lattice pattern of cabled knitting with slipped stitches. One geometric, grid structure, rich of texture (and colors). To maintain the pattern and color integrity, the colors (main color and contrast color) alternate every row – like 2 color brioche. You have a chart and “stitch by stitch” written instruction in English.

You need:
1. Skills: intermediate knitting knowledge;
2. Needles:
* 16” (40cm) circular needle and DPNs ( 4+1) in US 7/4.5mm;
* cable needle;
* tapestry needle for weaving in ends;
3. Yarns:
* shown women’s beanie hat – normal size (L/XL) is made by Mondial Sublime yarn, 50gr/110m~120yds per ball/skein (aran weight, 65% cotton, 35% merino wool) in total weight ~95gr:
A. Main Color yarn - black, ~90m/98.2yds (almost 1 ball);
B. Contrast Color yarn – pink, ~90m/98.2yds (almost 1 ball).

Notice this: “Mondial Sublime” has a lot of cotton, aran weight, but pure woolen yarn should be thinner:
* for women’s hat (one size fits most) you need 2 different color balls of DK weight woolen yarn, 50gr/133m~145yds, tightly stranded, in favorite color combination;
* for men’s hat (size XL-XXL, for head circumference 62-66cm) I recomend woolen yarn 50gr/120m~131yds or 100gr/240m, 262yds per ball/skein;
4. Clover stitch markers.

  • circumference (unstretched) – 48cm/19”
  • depth (measured washed, lying flat)- 21.5cm/9”
• men’s hat (US 7/4.5mm needles, woolen yarn - Alize Lanagold, 100gr/240m, 262yds):
  • circumference – 52cm/21”,
  • depth – 23.5cm/9.4”;

Gauge: 24-25 sts and 36 (18 doubled) rows = 4x4”/10cm in cabled pattern stitch on US7/4.5mm needles.
