This shawl is worked in 3 parts as if the yarn is conversing with itself along the way. It begins with a single stitch and expand into a squishy garter stitch base. The yarn overs along the two sides of the triangle will be picked up and knit, allowing for the yarn to change direction during the simple crosshatch Kisses lace chart. The final section of the shawl works back and forth along the edges in a large O lace pattern, Hugs, providing the majority of the bind off.
From the gentle, yet swift, beginnings to the more complicated lace along the edge, it’s easy to fall in love.

This full release of the Ardor pattern is slightly different from the original club release, one stitch was added on the Kisses chart.

The blocked dimensions in Miss Babs are: 54” long x 22” deep with 30” sides. For more project photos see Ardor (Club Version).

Yes, it can be made larger, although it is not written for those changes as such. As long as the total stitch count at the end of the 2nd (Kisses) section allow for any multiple of 2 full repeats of the 3rd (Hugs) section all should turn out well. Conversely, the base triangle can also be made larger to help keep balance and add stitches as long as it is kept in ratio to the 2nd (Kisses) chart repeats. It’s extremely flexible.
