The Shape of Things is a five piece collection that is inspired loosely by geometry and quilts, lines and boundaries, and most of all, color. Jamieson’s is certainly known for their wide array of colors, so I have no doubt that you’ll be able to find an assortment that pleases your senses.

This shawl is knit from the top down. It begins with an I-Cord starting tab and features I-Cord edges and an I-Cord bind-off. During the ribbed sections, increases are made on RS rows only. During the colorwork sections, increases are made on RS and WS rows, with some exceptions.

The colors used in the colorwork part of the sample are intentionally not highly contrasting. The background grays correlate to the shapes in blue, each getting darker as the shawl progresses. Have fun playing with colors in this project. A few changes could give a totally different look to the piece.
