This pattern was designed specifically for hand-painted artisan yarn. I used Solitude Wool, Romney 2-ply Aran weight yarn for this piece. The simple cable design includes a few double wrapped knits that lengthen and open up the stitching for a lighter and softer looking cable. The design is kept very simple to allow the hand-painted yarn to make it’s own statement. It is an easy first cable project if you are comfortable knitting in the round.
