The pattern is very adjustable - depending on the choice of yarn and needle size. You are aiming at a 19” circumference (enough to go over the head comfortably), so the cast on stitches will need to be enough to reach that size. The height is also adjustable, with instructions within the pattern to suit your purpose. It works well in a worsted weight yarn with approx. 10.5 size needles - but you can alter it to your particular whim.
