Notes: Aubade is a top-down cropped pullover with a slip-stitch colourwork yoke and folded cuffs and hem. The colourwork section starts immediately after the Italian cast-on and its foundation rows at the neck. The back neck is raised by working additional rows (working flat) to the back of the garment during the separation for body and sleeves instead of using the short row method Stitches are then picked up along the selvedge edge of the additional rows (the ‘back flap’) that are worked to the back of the garment. These stitches, along with the held sleeve stitches and the underarm stitches, will form the sleeve. There are two sleeve lengths to choose from: elbow-length and three-quarter length.
After the yoke the body and sleeves are knit in Stocking stitch with two garter rounds in a contrasting colour every three rounds.
