Supremely feminine in design and attitude, Aurelia is a generously size shawl which is worked from one small edge, increasing gradually up to a central point before decreasing equally gradually to it’s final little cast-off. Because it is worked edge-to-edge the rows are relatively short, so the knitting grows quickly and the pretty diamond motif border speeds you along effortlessly to the next pattern repeat. I love the way that this yarn has blocked in to a beautiful gauzy material; the shawl will be perfect for Summer evenings and romantic dresses, but I won’t be putting it away in the Winter - it’s going to look great wrapped up as a snuggly scarf!

The pattern will easily adapt to different yarn weights - just remember to change your needle size to suit and work as stated until you have used approximately 40% of the weight of your yarn stash before starting to work the straight pattern.
