When Norah first showed us her sketch for these mitts, she had us at the split-cable opening for the thumb.

Knitted Measurements

Approx 7.25” (18.5 cm) circumference x 6.75” (17 cm) length

Materials

— Felted Tweed by Rowan 50 g skeins, each approx 191 yds (175 m), 50% wool/25% viscose/25% alpaca: 1 ball Celadon

— Size US 3 (2.25 mm) double-pointed needles (set of 5), or size needed to achieve gauge

— Stitch marker

28 sts and 36 rnds = 4” (10 cm) over Cable A, after blocking

Note

These mitts are worked in the round to the thumb opening. The piece is worked back and forth for the thumb opening, then rejoined to work in the round for the hand.
