Avalon is knit in cozy 100% Merino Wool, from the bottom up, and consists of 5 pieces seamed together. The back, two fronts, and sleeves begin with a tubular cast on to give the cardigan a polished look. The Tie Cable, which is very different from other cables, runs up the back, then it also runs up each sleeve into a saddle shoulder. The front bands are worked in 1x1 ribbing, simultaneously with the Stockinette Stitch of each front, to the edges of the saddle shoulders, then worked separately around to the back neck, and sewn in place. This pattern includes sizes in inches, as well as centimeters, and also includes schematics of all pieces.
