Notes: Avifauna is a narrow shawl worked sideways with contrasting-colour ends and a lace tip. The simple rhythmic texture of Garter stitch alternating with Stocking stitch makes for wonderful comfort knitting, with a dash of asymmetrical lace to look forward to. The three-stitch selvedge keeps the edges neat and graceful.
