This bonnet is knit flat. It is worked as a rectangle in stockinette from the bottom and short rows are used to shape it. Once the main hood is finished, stitches are picked up along the edges to create the ribbing around the face. Lastly, stitches are cast on and picked up along the bottom of the hood to create the straps.
