My desire was to create a pattern for baby bunny slippers that was as seamless and easy to construct as possible. This pattern is the end result. There are still ends to weave in and one giant seam, but I hope you will find them a fairly simple knit.

This pattern is written for two sizes, newborn and roughly 6-12 months. An in between size could be achieved by using a lighter weight yarn. You should easily be able to complete this pattern using less than 100 yards. Most testers used 50 to 60 yards. The pattern is complete with photographs to help guide you through the process.

Please review the pattern before printing as you may not need or want to print the photo tutorial at the end!

Materials:

Yarn:

Any worsted weight yarn will work for this pattern. However, it is recommended that you avoid non-stretching fibers like 100% cotton.

  • Small (Newborn): Approximately 25 to 30 grams (50 to 60 yards) of worsted weight yarn.
  • Large (6-12 months): Approximately 50 to 60 grams (100 to 120 yards) of worsted weight yarn

Needles/Notions:

  • Size US 6 (4.0 mm) circular or straight needles for flat portion of pattern AND DPNs
  • 2 stitch holders or waste yarn
  • Tapestry needle
  • Anything you might want for embellishment
