Bark River Wrap
Dressing stylishly is always fun do to, but staying warm and still being stylish can often be a challenge.
This wrap, knit from end to end, is here to help you solve both dilemmas! The colors are easy to customize, whether you’re using up yarn left over from other projects or choosing something new. One unique feature of this wrap is the shaping - a stitch is increased at the beginning of every 6th row, along with an accompanying decrease at the end of the same row, making this wrap a parallelogram instead of a rectangle (and here you thought you’d never need to know anything about geometry after high school).
Begin work with a few rows of hurdle stitch, then work in 3x3 garter rib for a few inches. Work a band of a 4-color mosaic pattern, then continue in the same garter rib pattern until you’re almost finished. Repeat the mosaic pattern, switching the two most prominent colors, then end with a little more garter rib and a few rows of hurdle stitch.
Finished Measurements:
18” (45.5 cm) wide and 65” (165 cm) long, with an offset created by the shaping of about 17 1/2” (44.5 cm)
