Barometric Hat
This hat has a reverse stocking stitch crown that texturally evolves into a 1x1 ribbing brim. The hat is worked in the round from the wrong side to reduce purl stitching.
Cast on with Emily Ocker’s Circular Cast on, increase until the hat reaches the correct width and work towards the brim. Thread the live stitches with scrap yarn at any time to try it on and see when it’s reached the perfect length. This is a stretchy hat; select a size with 5-8cm/ 2-3” negative ease.
Size
Hat can be made in 3 different circumferences – 40.6 (46.4, 52.1)cm/ 16 (181⁄4, 201⁄2)” - and 3 different depths – 21.6 (24.1, 26)cm/ 81⁄2 (91⁄2, 10 1⁄4)” - are available for each circumference.
