Featuring the adorably spooky Bats and Pumpkins, this Halloween knitting bundle is a must have to decorate your home for fellow trick-or-treaters. 

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, thee toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).  The larger pumpkin’s stem is a curly i-cord knitted on two DPNs.

For safety, note that the bat decorations are not suitable for young children because of the wire used in the wings.

Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK in Paprika, Peridot, Smoke and Ebony
Double knitting/light worsted weight
100% acrylic
One 100g/250m skein in each colour

NEEDLES
A pair of 3mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5)
Two 3mm DPNs, minimum length 10cm (US 2.5)

NOTIONS
Toy filling 150g
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
Two 6mm domed black buttons for the bats’ eyes
Two 9mm pink flocked toy safety noses for the bats(or you can embroider the noses in pink yarn or embroidery thread)
Approx 1 meter of white embroidery thread/floss to add the bats’ mouths

Two 22mm green toy safety eyes for the pumpkin

Two black chenille stems/pipe cleaners for the bats’ wings


SIZES
One Size: The large pumpkin is 13cm tall and 14cm wide, the small pumpkin is 7cm tall and 9cm wide, each bat is 13cm tall and 19cm wide with wings outstretched.

TECHNIQUES
Work flat on single pointed needles (not in the round).
The stem is curly i-cord worked on two DPNs.
Other techniques include casting on and off, knits and purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
