Be Present Fingerless Mittens
To achieve a mindset of “to be present” is not always easy. Our lives are filled with the joys of family and friends; social media coverage with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram; daily struggles of work and finances; hope for happiness and laughter. Our day to day living makes it difficult at times to simply be mindful of the present moment. To enjoy the little things that create bursts of joy.
I have designed this pattern with simple written instructions to create a useful accessory. The pattern is intended to help you be in the moment - to “be present”. When your mind starts to wander there will be something to concentrate on with the knitting - in the case of the mittens - decreases to create the shape for the length for the forearm to the wrist. Then the ribbing for the wrist. Next comes the thumb gusset focus. Lastly the ribbing around your fingers.
The first set of pictures showcase the Misti Alpaca sock yarn. The second set of photos are of Tails & Snouts. I hope this pattern brings you enjoyment and a chance to sit and relax.
