Bea Balaclava is knitted top-down in stockinette stitch. First, a rectangle is knitted, which forms the top of the head. Then stitches are picked up along the rectangle, and you knit back and forth. Under the chin new stitches are cast on, and the work is joined so you can knit in the round to form a neck section. Finally, stitches are picked up along the balaclava opening, and a rib edge is knitted, where a tie is attached in the folded edge.
